Walking tall Our China tour starts in Beijing where we’ll visit the enormous Tiananmen Square and the unforgettable Forbidden City. Next make sure your camera is fully charged as it’s here we’ll first step foot on the Great Wall of China, said to be the only visible landmark from space! Then we’ll take some traditional transport as we enjoy an exciting rickshaw ride through the historic hutongs, narrow streets which once covered most of Beijing.
An amazing discovery Our China tour continues as we travel to Xi’an, where we’ll visit the exquisite terracotta warriors considered the greatest archaeological discovery of the last century. Here in Xi’an we’ll also tour the ancient city wall which dates back to the Tang dynasty.
Shanghai surprise! Next stop on tour is Shanghai, truly one of China’s most exciting cities. Here we’ll take a sightseeing trip around the city visiting the Bund, the historic heart of the city, and the Shanghai museum which houses an incredible 120,000 pieces of Chinese art and cultural relics. We’ll also visit China’s beautifully ornate Yu Garden, a former private garden with 400 years of history.
